Sorting and packaging of hazardous waste for transport according to ADR chapter 1.3

The course is mandatory for all chemical waste managers, i.e. the employees who are responsible for ensuring that the hazardous waste is prepared correctly for transport away from DTU

The course is divided into 4 modules:

Module 1 on 7 November 2024, from 9am to 1pm:

Here you get a general insight into the legislation for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR) with associated exemptions and special rules for hazardous waste.

This is followed up by more targeted knowledge about DTU’s hazardous waste, including on the classification and sorting of waste.

Module 2 on 14 November 2024, from 9am to 1pm:

Targeted training in packaging, labelling and packaging of hazardous waste.

In addition, there is a little about safety and accidents.

Module 3 on 28 November 2024, from 9am to 1pm:

ADRSYS – the program for creating transport documents – is reviewed with lots of examples. Remember to bring your own PC. Be aware that ADRSYS is only in Danish.

In addition, there is a review of a number of reports that describe typical errors.

Module 4 on 5 December 2024, either from 9-12am or 1-4pm (the class is divided into two):

Practical training in a laboratory where the participants themselves will be responsible for the classification, sorting, packaging and labelling of a representative selection of hazardous waste.

The course ends with a course certificate and the right to independently draw up transport documents in ADRSYS.

A maximum of 10 people can participate and the price for participation is DKK 2750. The cancellation deadline for the course is no later than 14 days before the start of the course – after this date the full course fee will be charged.
